Capcom Cancels Blood Swimming Pool Event
Capcom's blood swimming pool event, set up to promote Resident Evil Revelations, has been cancelled. The publisher has said the move was in response to the unfortunate and tragic events that took place in Woolwich yesterday.

The sell-out event, which was to take place on 25th and 26th May at Jupiter Wharf, involved filling a swimming pool 16ft x 32ft (1m deep) with fake blood, torsos, brains and intestines. Zombie lifeguards were to oversee the event, and merchandise was to be set at the bottom of the pool for brave swimmers to collect.

Yesterday, a British army soldier was killed in a brutal attack. The killer was filmed claiming that he carried out the act because British soldiers killed Muslims every day.

In a statement on the matter, Capcom said, "In light of yesterday's sad events we're cancelling our Revelations pool event. Thank you for your understanding."

Are they stopping featuring killing in their games too? Though not!

fingers crossed they'll just postpone the event and host it in a few weeks time. Got to appreciate that in light of the recent events it would've been bad taste to hold such an event. (admittedly the kind of people who are likely to attend probably wouldn't be to phased by the connection to the recent happenings...)
