It seems that it's not just small independent game makers who have large problems with servers. Peter Molyneux has already owned up to failing to meet appropriate server standards (he's bought more). Activision and Treyarch have had to deal with their own Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 server problems... but only for PS3 owners."We are aware of connectivity issues that some players are facing in
Black Ops II on PlayStation 3. We are working on resolution, thank you." So said Activision support. As for Treyarch...
David Vonderhaar, Game Design Director at Treyarch, pointed out via
Twitter (as you do) that:
"We are currently testing backend matchmaking changes that we think can help with this. I don't have a time table, or I would tell you." That was yesterday evening.
Now, it must be said that the PS3 owners'
anger on the forum appears to have abated this morning. Let's hope this guy hasn't got to the actual state
he suggests though... annoyed.
Now, Mr Vonderhaar has something else
to concern himself with, as he states: "The "Waiting to balance teams" thing is something else entirely. More on that shortly," three hour or so ago as I write.
