Skyrim's latest DLC pack, Hearthfire, is now available on Steam for PC users. However, Bethesda announced that the add-on, which costs £3.49 on Steam and allows players to build their own homes in the game, is still MIA on the PlayStation 3.Hearthfire's absence from the PlayStation Network follows the troubles Bethesda has had in making
Skyrim's first DLC expansion,
Dawnguard, work on Sony's console. Marketing chief Pete Hines said on
Twitter, "We're still on it... Will share update when I have one."
Echoing the explanation for Bethesda's issues with
Dawnguard, Hines added that the performance of
Hearthfire on PS3 - including crashes and poor frame rates - is halting development progress. Something that, he admits, is a problem for the studio and not Sony. "We've never blamed anyone or anything. It's our problem, and it's on us to solve it."
