You've got to give EA and Bioware applause for supporting Mass Effect 3 in many interesting and eyeball catching ways. Let's hope the game is as good as the marketing, eh? Anyway, this time the marketing effort will give a few very lucky people some very special editions of the game.
USA Today reports that, "Publisher Electronic Arts will be launching copies of the game into space using weather balloons that will be released in New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Berlin, London and Paris.
"Each game has a GPS tracking device onboard and fans can track their return to the Earth on masseffect.com to find a copy and play it a week or more before the game hits stores. (Might not be a bad idea to follow @MassEffect, either.)"
All good stuff... if you agree that a weather balloon can actually reach 'Space' that is... discuss that on our forum while we await the game's release.
