The already patched PlayStation Vita outsold the original PSP's launch but has not beaten Nintendo's 3DS according to Enterbrain. The report states that the Vita sold 321,407 units in its first week according to statistics from Enterbrain covering December 17 and December 18.
Andriasang reports that this compares as follows:
Nintendo 3DS: 371,326 units (covers 2/26/2011 and 2/27/2011)
PSP: 166,074 units (covers just 12/12/2004)
The Vita sales are apparently based on initial shipment figure of 700,000 units, although Sony itself stated 500,000 units had been made available.
