The launch of the PlayStation Vita in Japan, which let's face it is incredibly important to Sony's wider gaming strategy, was plagued by technical problems with some units. Sony has apologised.
According to Engadget, "Only a matter of hours after the first unit was sold, users started complaining of software bugs, unresponsive touchscreens and complete system freezes."
But Sony has decided not to wait for a month or so to own-up to the problem, "as the company has already issued a public apology and a software update."
