Nintendo 3DS Expansion Slide Pad is a Total Bargain

The news of Nintendo's 3DS Expansion Slide Pad is all over the place following the revelation in Famitsu magazine last week and further confirmation at Nintendo's pre-Tokyo Game Show event. We've now discovered when it'll be available and how much it will be.
For the princely sum of ¥1,500 (around £12) you too will be able to make your 3DS into a bulky thing that will allow you to play the new Monster Hunter 4 game. Compatibility has also been confirmed with titles like Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3DS, Kingdom Hearts 3D, Ace Combat 3D and more.
Powered by a single AAA battery, the device will be available in Japan from December 10th. There has been no confirmation of a release for the rest of the world as yet but we're sure it'll happen, just as we're sure that there'll be a remodelled dual-stick 3DS available at some point in the future. Our crystal ball never lies.

this has really pissed me off,
my kids have small hands how are they supposed to reach the buttons with this on? as it looks like a reach to do so, nintendo should offer a trade in of old consoles for new pay postage and the £12.00 and get an updated model..

- They haven't released a new console with a second stick yet, everyone with a 3DS is being treated the same in this case
- You don't have to buy this, it's only for a couple of games

A new 3DS with this built in is an almost certainty. Pretty disappointing that Nintendo now seems to think they have to copy the competition.
Pity they didn't think that when they were inventing the Wii U. That tablet screen controller thing is an abomination.

3DS is the new 3DO/ game gear / TG16 / Saturn / Neo Geo Pocket. dump it while you can folks. I did.
