HMV doing it to avoid disappointed gamers

UK Retail Refusing Trade-Ins of Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D
Following revelations that Capcom is refusing to allow gamers to reset their data on Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, at least one UK retailer is stating that it will refuse to accept trade-in copies of 3DS game.

Capcom has already denied that the saves-to-cart technique has anything to do with stopping resale of the title. However, this has not stopped HMV's PR lead, Gennaro Castaldo, telling VG247 that to “avoid any potential customer disappointment for those purchasing a pre-owned version” his company won't accept trade-ins.

We've spoken with a source close to another major High Street retail chain which is currently unable to tell us whether it has formulated a policy on trade-ins of the 3DS game.

Capcom you are old school, you should know better. your gread is becoming insane. IGN said this game is just a mini game in the first place. I know Japan is hur.ting and you want to grab as much cash as possible. but Canada and the rest of the civilized world is hurting as well. money is a limited and valuable thing these days. taking away my 15 dollers of trade is unexceptible. and it hurts other publishers. game stores and their employees. Its like people burning games except the opposite and your are ripping us off. gotta go play some zelda 3ds and take your 40 dollers and fill up my car.

That's Game then I presume? They must be s**tting their pants, there's more secondhand stock than new in their stores.

@Da Man, what do you mean good for you HMV? this is what the games industry wants that retail refuses to stock `Pre Owned`, your comment makes no sense.
