Commodore USA Taking Pre-Orders for New C64
After nearly a year of announcing its rise from the ashes, Commodore USA is finally ready to start taking pre-orders on its upcoming Commodore 64 all-in-one replica PC.

The computer looks exactly like a C64 from the 1980s, but comes with a host of modern features including a DVD R/W or Blu-ray drive, 2GB of DDR3 memory and the Ubuntu Linux operating system. It can play a host of classic C64 games via emulation.

A range of Amiga products are also available for pre-order, but take a very different design. There is no news yet on the progress of the promised Amiga Fantasy, which packs an all-in-one computer system into a classic Amiga 500 model chassis.

Head to the website and pre-order already, why don't you!

What is it with modern-repros. First an E Type Jag for £500,000, now a C=64 for $900. Get real!

Brings back memories of the though but enjoyable Harold the hedgehog, head over heals and Harvey headbanger, but the keyboard will probably be insufficient due to the advances of modern keyboards with all their function keys.
