E3 2011: Sony Issues Apology for PSN Downtime
Sony Computer Entertainment America president Jack Tretton has made an extensive apology to gamers, retailers and third party publishers over the outage of the PlayStation Network.

"This isn't the first time I've come to a press conference with an elephant in the room," Tretton said in his usual open-armed manner. "My friends in the media say that there's nothing that makes their editors' day more than controversy. So to the press I say, you're welcome.

"To our third party publishing partners, I know the outage has been costly to you. And what has been inspiring has been your offers to help - to you I thank you. To our consumers, you are the lifeblood of the company. Without you, there is no PlayStation, and I want to personally apologise to you.

"It is you that both causes us to be humble and amazed at the amount of dedication and support you give to the PlayStation brand."

If only Sony had issued such a statement back in late April, it would have made it look like the victim than an arrogant bunch of assholes

The PSN network is not properly fixed yet. I got my two free games now(hurray), but all the PSN games that I previously bought are not working with the error message 80029515 still showing and my super stardust game updated to replace it with the demo version. Jack Tretton and his European Sony mates need to get things fixed properly and he will then have to acquire a pair of 200ft wide Mick Jagger lips and restart his ass kissing again.
