Sad Kojima Speaks of Wasted Time on "Meaningless" Project
Hideo Kojima is sad. Depressed, even! Poor chap. The legendary developer has been writing some solemn messages on Twitter in regards to what can only be guessed as a cancelled game project.

"I cannot bear, and cannot be positive," said the Metal Gear Solid creator, before adding "What I prepared minutely spending a year became meaningless."

Exactly what game our down in the dumps producer is talking about is uncertain. Kojima Productions is currently developing Metal Gear Solid: Rising and Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3DS, but the studio head has often talked about exploring other avenues and breaking free from the world of Solid Snake.

A return to his Zone of the Enders mech series was believed to be in the works, as was a new NGP title and a mystery "devil" project. He has worked on expanding the Snatcher brand with No More Heroes developer SUDA 51, and has announced a collaboration with Japanese studio 5pb on a new adventure game.

His depression could be related to any one of these... or none at all. Place your bets now!

He was probably depressed that the game had more than 10 minutes of gameplay and only 3 and a half days of cutscenes. Whatever the game was.

I thought this was about the Peace Walker, Koj spent a year making the PS3 version and then suddenly Sony came out with the whole "easy PSP-PS3 conversion" thing for Vita.
