Sony: 'Select Group' of Users Currently Testing PlayStation Network
While many Sony officials are keeping schtum on the status of PlayStation Network, it appears that the Dutch support team is at least keeping customers in the loop, stating that a number of users are currently testing the service.

The official PlayStationNL Twitter feed was recently updated with this (roughly translated) message: "At the moment, a select group is testing the (PlayStation) Network. Territories: Japan (Asia), Europe and America."

It's not certain if this select group happens to be those with access to the internal developer network that is said to have been switched on overnight. Sony could well be allowing a small number of end-users to access various features to test it out, but with all the talk of security we wonder if that's very likely.

At the very least, it's refreshing that someone, somewhere is able to answer customer queries. And if the testing goes well, we could see PSN back before we know it.

it wont be back untill july i guarantee they got ripped to pieces by those hackers. There will release a finish date atleast 2-3weeks in advance, also im not sure they can code a new system fast enough, as they cant open it to all developers, as they will be hacked, so what like 100-200 working probably, which will take months at the very least... they have to design a whole new system, their firmware will have to change the ps3 fundamentals, as the base code of ps3 is known now, so its not hard to hack.

XBOX had the same problems when they first came out. I just hope they are willing to foot the bill for the new maps on COD that we won't have access to for 2 months.

Your obviously an Xbox fanboy who is lashing out at a victim, when you drive by a person whos been shot do you also think they deserve it? Microsoft is only safe because pussy hackers are too scared of Bill Gates and go after targets that are not as difficult to attack. But enjoy your 200 dollar a year service that in it's own issues had a 15 day outage.
