Sony is to cut the price of its current PSP range by 24% in the lead-up to the release of the PSP2 (NGP).Bloomberg reports that, "The PSP player will have a suggested retail price of 129.99 euros ($187.29) beginning today."
Sony's Satoshi Fukuoka said, “The price cut is aimed at increasing adoption of the player in Europe."
The fact that this also gives Sony - which cut the price of PSP in the USA recently - wiggle room in pricing the PSP2 is also a key point.
