If you're feeling unlucky in love today, here's some news that will likely make you feel even worse - DICE has ruled out the possibility of a sequel to refreshing first-person platformer Mirror's Edge.Swedish website Press2Play interviewed Patrick Soderlund who said that the game was actually in development for a time and reached a prototype stage with EA, but as the original game did not sell as expected, the project has "stalled."
Patrick said that although he holds Faith's adventure close to his heart, he cannot justify the "charity" of completing the game knowing that poor sales may follow a second time.
Truly, the news was best summed up by Press2Play's writer who said (
translated), "In a world where sequels to crap games are stacked on each other, it appears in our dreams as pure injustice." Amen, chap.
