February is a time for super-sleuthing it seems, as Miles Edgeworth’s second spinoff game in the Ace Attorney series objects its way to the top of the Japanese Video Game Chart (31st January - 6th February 2011, courtesy Media Create via 4gamer).His legal force was so great, that
Ace Attorney Investigations 2 sold double that of its nearest competitor (
Macross Triangle Frontier) and triple that of third place
White Knight Chronicles Portable.

Previous #1
The Last Story plummets to #7 this week, as the four new releases (the last being
Dragon Ball Kai) take up the first four places in the Top 10.
Valkyria Chronicles 3 suffers just as much, going from #2 to #8, but
Kenka Bancho 5 holds steady at #5. Creep-a-thon
My Little Sister Can’t Be This Cute is sitting snugly at #10. The only other new release to make the Top 20 was
Atelier Violet on the PSP, which creeped in at the bottom with just over 5,500 units sold.
Although there was plenty to shout about in the software chart, that hasn’t exactly translated to big sales on any hardware platform this week. Almost every format was down over last week’s numbers, with the exception of the DSi, which managed to sell a couple hundred more units than it did before. Good job, we guess.
