Kinect to Understand English, Japanese, Mexican at Launch
Microsoft's Kinect will launch with voice support for three languages - English, Japanese and Mexican Spanish. That's according to two separate reports that cite sources from the company.

Elpais covers an event in Spain, where Microsoft told press that the peripheral would only be able to understand the Mexican dialect, which is a branch of Spanish not spoken in Europe. Xboxygen follows this with an alleged image from the Kinect Beta, which lists Japanese and English as alternative languages.

The company has been keen to deny rumours last month that the Kinect would ship without any voice recognition, but failed to explain exactly what languages could be understood. Microsoft has yet to clear any of this up - we've contacted them for comment.

LOL at you not reading "the Mexican dialect, which is a branch of Spanish not spoken in Europe" in the article and going on the shorter phrase in the headline to attack the site! Pillock!
