Last night, Bioware released an extension to Dragon Age: Origins, called Return to Ostagar, on Xbox Live. Today, it was removed, with Bioware urging players to avoid downloading the title update that prepares for the expansion. So what happened? Apparently the culprit lies within the aforementioned title update, which “introduced a previously undetected issue that causes specialization classes to not work correctly in
Dragon Age: Origins.”
That's according to Bioware's Chris Priestly, who announced the removal of the
Return to Ostagar content from Xbox Live on the company's forums. “If you have already performed the update, we apologize for this and are working hard to ensure a fix is available as soon as possible,” said Priestly.
More information is expected when it is available, but there was no word as to whether this would affect PC or PS3 users. You can check
Bioware's forums as to when the issue may be resolved.
