The Sony PlayStation Portable 3000 (or Brite) appears to have sparked the interest of Japanese consumers like a brand new PSP in Japan.
According to
Famitsu quoting its own publishers Enterbrain, from its launch on October 16th to October 19th the, 3000 sold 141,270 units. This is extremely good going. Adding this to the PSP 1000 and 2000, the figures for PSP come in at 155,720 units sold. And this gives 10,357,481 PSP lifetime sales.
All good stuff.
And then along comes
Joystiq referring to a post on the
US PlayStation board. The posts refer to dodgy interlacing on the spanky new PSP screens. One user has even talken the time to post a comparison video of new PSP vs old PSP -

At this time, this could of course be some users having some problems... we await the official line.
