THQ has announced that it has won the rights to publish Japanese GBA launch title Advance GT in Europe and the US.
The news will be well received by race fans, as up until now the title had not hit any Euro or American release schedules as it had not been adopted by a developer. THQ has also opted to change the name of the game, from Advance GT to GT Advance Racing Championship.
THQ has kept the game identical to the Japanese version, with all the real-life cars included. Advance GT was heralded as a Gran Turismo for the handheld console when it was initially previewed in Japan. The game contains over forty cars from all of Japan’s serious GT manufacturers including Honda, Subaru and Mitsubishi. In addition, each car has a vast array of tuning and modification options to go with it.
