GameBoy Advance Bet-em-ups on the way.

Capcom of Japan has revealed the first details of its hotly anticipated Game Boy Advance arcade conversions of the classic beat-em-ups Final Fight and Super Street Fighter II.

Super Street Fighter II will be a slightly modified version of the original arcade game. The game-play and character line-up will remain unchanged, with the only changes being made in the presentation of the game.

Super Street Fighter was the first of Capcom’s 2D fighters to include devastating Super moves, performed by entering a specific command (usually two quarter circles) releasing power from a secondary charge bar at the bottom of the screen.

Final Fight, one of Capcom’s most successful ever titles, will be an arcade-perfect conversion. Final Fight revolutionised side-scrolling fighting games with its rapid punch necessity. All of a sudden you had to be able to really perform in a game, not just press combinations of buttons a la Double Dragon.

Both games will be released in Japan in July with European releases expected later in the year.
