Capcom Entertainment has announced that a demo of its hotly anticipated vampire-action game, Devil May Cry will ship with an enhanced version of Resident Evil: Code Veronica. The PlayStation 2 title will be a souped up version of the original CV and will be called Code Veronica X.

Devil May Cry has been described as “gothic horror” and will be released in all territories in Autumn this year.

"Devil May Cry looks simply amazing and it will certainly raise the bar in the world of PlayStation 2 games," said Todd Thorson, Capcom’s marketing director. "Devil May Cry takes full advantage of the technical advancements of the PlayStation 2 by delivering stunning graphics and gameplay that immerses gamers into a dark fantasy world. Devil May Cry is destined to be a blockbuster hit as Capcom fans will see for themselves this spring with the inclusion of the playable demo in copies of Resident Evil: Code Veronica X, also for PlayStation 2. Capcom Executive Producer Shinji Mikami has certainly created another masterpiece."

In a break from the fairly static and somewhat overused playing style of the Resident Evil series, Devil May Cry will be a full-on action game and will have dynamics that are comparable with Onimusha.
