The Bombing Islands - Blasting Its Way To A PlayStation Near You!
King Clown needs your help to prevent an explosive disaster in this fun new puzzle game "The Bombing Islands," from Japanese games publisher, Kemco.
The peaceful Planet Clown is in jeopardy; overnight hundreds of bombs have suddenly materialised across its six islands and it might only be days before they all explode! The only man who can save the day is Kid Clown a have a go hero with a red nose and oversized shoes. Nominated by the King, as chief bomb disposer it's up to the Kid to detonate all the bombs before time runs out and Planet Clown gets cooked.
There are 60 mind-bending stages for Kid Clown to clear before he can rest, each becoming trickier as the game progresses. You are in control of Kid Clown who must rearrange the bombs in each stage and detonate them all before time runs out. Problem is only one of the bombs on the island, (the red one), can be ignited and all the others have different forces, so it's up to you to strategically arrange all the bombs close enough together to ensure that a single explosion will take out the lot!
There are three different sized bombs, large, medium and small. The large bomb has the most power, blasting the block underneath, two blocks each in four directions (up, down, left and right), and one block each in four diagonal directions. The medium one will vaporise the block underneath and one block in four directions (up, down, left and right). The small bomb is the weakest and will only destroy the block underneath. The Igniter bomb's power is the same as the medium bomb.
To move them, the bombs can be pushed one at a time around the islands. If arranging these isn't tough enough for the Kid he must overcome different obstacles and traps that could really slow him down or even wipe him out! You'll need to dodge ice, oil and sharp spikes to try and complete your quest and some of the different blocks could also make things tricky as they crumble beneath your feet or bounce the crushing bombs back at you. Finally light the fuse and run, make sure you get out the way before they explode otherwise the clown's going to get fried! To help you complete your challenge you can alter the camera angles to get a better perspective of the island you are trying to clear.
