Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) today announced that it was reducing the Recommended Retail Price (RRP) of its PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system to £169.99 in the UK and to between €249 - €259 in Eurocurrency countries. The price cut, which is effective from midnight on Thursday 29 August, is expected to give a huge boost to sales of the market leading entertainment system in the run up to Christmas.
