Coyote Wireless, a division of Coyote Developments Ltd, developer and publisher of award-winning games, announced today that it has entered into an exclusive, co-publishing agreement with Airborne Entertainment, a leading publisher of top-flight branded wireless entertainment, for the J2ME and BREW versions of Super Yum Yum throughout North America. Also on the cards are similar co-publishing deals in China, Korea and Brazil with key players in those territories.
All of this is timed with a television appearance on Sky One’s Gamezville on July 24th and coincides with a fresh re-launch of Super Yum Yum in Europe, with the first site in Europe to launch the game, Coolfinger, seeing a resurgence of sales of the IP. In addition, Super Yum Yum is now being launched by carriers O2 and Vodafone across Europe.
Developed by Airplay UK Ltd, who were recently nominated for the Develop Award’s Best New Studio, Super Yum Yum was the only original game nominated for a BAFTA (British Academy for Film and Television Arts) game award last year, up against the likes of Tony Hawks and Tomb Raider.
Super Yum Yum stars Leon the Chameleon, who is lost and must eat fruit, change color, and cross gaps through 36 different levels to find his way home.
A most addictive and colorful game, Super Yum Yum has been consistently in the top 5 or 10 in multiple languages across European mobile carriers and portals. It is expected to carry this tradition into the U.S., China, Korea and South America.
Coyote’s MD, Matthew Nagy stated: “We’re looking forward to working with all our new publishing partners. Each of them has a strong presence in their marketplace, and we know they’ll do exciting things with Super Yum Yum.”
