On 26 November, Take 2 Interactive launch their first game title for the revolutionary new console, the PlayStation 2. Pool Master is a 3D pool simulation where players will be challenged by human or computer opponents in a variety of extremely realistic pool games.

Amazingly realistic gameplay - Every shot is possible from straight ball-sinking to jump, curve shots and other trick shots. Ball physics is fully simulated, including friction, speed, collision and roll. You can even pick from 13 different cues and a variety of rooms from gothic splendor to bright lights and glinting steel!

Choose your game type from 10 different versions including US Nine Ball, Eight Ball, Straight Pool, Rotation, Frozen and Free Play. Three bonus games -Bowlliard, Carrot and Random Six -are also included, with the player able to change certain options such as 'calling (nominating) pockets' and 'banking for break' (who breaks first).

Multiple Camera angles allows the game to be played and shots followed from a variety of different views - in addition to 3D 'behind the shot' and 2D top-down, the camera can be in fixed, manual, swing and restless (follows fastest ball) modes.

4 Playing Modes - Under the guidance of a 'pro' you can practice basic and advanced techniques in Lesson Billiards. Play against other players, computer characters or pro's in 2-player Versus Game mode. The Frozen Game is a unique puzzle-like game, and you can place balls where you like and hit them how you like in Free Play.

Play against 10 unique computer controlled pool players, each with distinctive styles of play, strengths and weaknesses. Learn from the pro's and eventually make your way through the ranks to battle against Pool Master's Top Ranked Players.

In the lesson mode, you can graphically see details and learn the theory behind different shots. A thesaurus can also be accessed if you find yourself confused by any billiards terminology.

The DUALSHOCK2 analog controller is supported - giving a realistic sense of resistance and force with each shot.

Pool Master is released on December 15th, 2000.
