PlayStation 2 is ready to take sports gaming to new heights as Konami introduces the ultimate title to showcase its full power: ESPN Winter X Games.
Prepare to hop on a board and shred the slopes with one of Konami's first ESPN titles. Built on the foundation of US TV's ESPN's X Games, the cornerstone of pro snowboarding competition, this game enables players to explore an endless mountain of snowboarding possibilities.
ESPN X Games Snowboarding delivers intense action. Combining incredible graphics, smooth animations, and fluid gameplay, Konami has developed a game with all of the speed, acrobatics, and attitude of this chilling sport. ESPN Winter X Games hits the halfpipe at full speed and catches big air.
Four authentic X Games snowboarding events allow players to test their skill in the Big Air, Snowboarder X, Super Pipe and Slope Style. Each course is custom designed complete with all the key riders and all their latest gear. Authentic ESPN coverage includes ESPN X Games pre and post race coverage, and all the background information and statistics of the biggest names in the sport. Play from traditional video game views or from authentic ESPN camera angles.
Players can ride an entire custom designed mountain in Freeride mode. Fly down a trail map full of endless terrain ranging anywhere from steeps to cruisers. Line up Head-To-Head and go at it from anywhere on the mountain in the most intense snowboarding competition ever designed or customise your own rider with 'create-a-rider' and try to make a run at X Games Gold.
Choose from a selection of snowboarders that include X-games gold medallists and legendary snowboarding gods alike. Music from big name artists and great tunes allows players to customise the music for their riding style. New additions to code for ECTS include an option to record stunts and two player rail trick, white out and black out modes. The Snowboarder career mode has also advanced considerably with filming sessions (cliff drops, town rides, road jumps) and competitions to help you build cash for new lift passes, loads of equipment and even helicopter drops.
