Softwrap today announced that it is to team up with Eidos, one of the world's leading publishers and developers of entertainment software, to distribute the brand new reality simulation, Singles: Flirt Up Your Life online. The new game brings the excitement and anticipation of new relationships into play, placing players in the roles of matchmakers. Eidos will use Softwrap's DRM technology to guard against online piracy, and will distribute the game via Softwrap's network of peer-to-peer, magazines and portal partners.
Simon Protheroe, Eidos, commented: "We have worked with Softwrap for a number of years now because we want to be sure that we're doing all we can to protect our content from the threat of online piracy. Softwrap's DRM technology has always proved to be an effective solution in the past, which is why we had no hesitation in using it when distributing our latest title, Singles: Flirt Up Your Life. Another factor that makes Softwrap an appealing proposition is their network of partner peer-to-peer sites, which provide a wide variety of sales channels and ultimately, excellent revenue streams."
A spokesperson for Softwrap, Gary Milner, added: "Eidos have proven to be a pioneer in the adoption of a digital delivery strategy and, having worked with them and with their premier catalogue of games extensively over the years, we are looking forward to the results of releasing their latest PC title, and opening new markets by broadening their customer base."
