To celebrate the imminent European release of Savage: The Battle For Newerth, Digital Jesters is launching a brand new demo containing stacks of additional features. And premiering alongside these brilliant new features is the XFire system (www.xfire.com) which integrates seamlessly with the Savage code to open up a whole new world of multiplayer options

The latest game demo includes a host of improvements and enhancements which offer an extra layer of sheen to an already finely-polished piece of code. The new demo is only a little taster as the full version will include three new maps, the Beast Horde, graphical enhancements and healer units that add new tactical possibilities to the Savage experience.

Xfire is an Instant Messenger designed for gamers that shows players when and where their friends are playing online. With one click, users can instantly join their friends' games.

Sam McGrath, Lead Programmer and Co-founder of S2Games, comments, "Xfire makes it extremely easy for friends to play Savage together. We're excited about bundling Xfire into our new Savage: The Battle for Newerth Demo."

'Savage: The Battle for Newerth', is an evolutionary game, uniquely marrying the first-person-shooter genre with the resource management and hierarchy of a real-time strategy game.

Savage is a multiplayer-only game of brutal combat in which teams of up to 32 players battle against other factions. Each team comprises up to 31 warriors who battle from a first-person perspective and one commander who build bases and weaponry and issues tactical advice to his side. It is this fusion of viewpoints that has created a fanatical US community, which has been enjoying Savage since its release there late last November. Indeed, the New York Times has described it as "the most innovative game of the year".

Savage: The Battle For Newerth special European Edition will be released on February 27th 2004 in the UK, priced £29.99, and throughout Europe in March and April.
