Gamers will be getting Savage across the UK today in an exclusive LAN initiative from Britsoft publisher Digital Jesters.
One week prior to official launch, the award-winning, revolutionary multiplayer 'Savage: The Battle for Newerth' will be unveiled to the gaming public in a joint co-operation between Digital Jesters, iGames and Wireworld. The move will see over 70 LAN centres from across the North and South to the Channel Isles joining forces to offer this exclusive opportunity to their customers. The initiative is additionally being complemented with a battalion of merchandise and POS marketing support from standees, posters, flyers and T-shirts.
European gamers won't be left out either as a NEW European demo of Savage is on its way exclusively for them!
'Savage: The Battle for Newerth', is an evolutionary game, uniquely marrying the first-person-shooter genre with the resource management and hierarchy of a real-time strategy game.
Savage is a multiplayer-only game of brutal combat in which teams of up to 32 players battle against other factions. Each team comprises anywhere up to 31 warriors who battle from a first-person perspective and one commander who build bases and weaponry and issues tactical advice to his side. It is this fusion of viewpoints that has created a fanatical US community, which has been enjoying Savage since its release there late last November. Indeed, the New York Times has described it as "the most innovative game of the year".
