Jinkies! It's MDK Armageddon For The Playstation®2 Computer Entertainment System!

Digital Mayhem, the action division of Interplay Entertainment Corp. (NASDAQ:IPLY), along with BioWare Corp. today the showing of MDK Armageddon for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system.

Developed by BioWare Corp., the team that brought you 1998's "Best RPG of the Year, Baldur's Gate," MDK Armageddon expands upon the legacy of action, intrigue and humor established by its predecessors, MDK and MDK2. Players will return to the strange, dark and kooky world inhabited by Kurt Hectic, Max the robotic dog, and the eccentric Dr. Hawkins. The sci-fi action thriller will feature all of the intrigue and humor established by the earlier titles. But, now there's even more - more enemies, more weapons, more items, plus enhanced character models and game levels. It'll even incorporate a customizable difficulty setting to satisfy gamers of differing skills and abilities. The result will be a surreal and cinematic romp through ten levels of vast 3D environments and engaging storylines. MDK Armageddon promises superlative graphic detail, stunning visuals and dramatic gameplay.

On a related note, the recently released MDK2 for Sega Dreamcast is a top 10 game on that platform and continues to receive rave reviews. Daily Radar said, "MDK2 is a gorgeous, deeply involving game that has us quivering with joy." The Official Sega Dreamcast Magazine has declared it, "…in the running for action/adventure game of 2000." And IGN-Dreamcast calls it a "must-own," and goes on to say that, "this game brings to the table a full plate of visual vittles on which your eyes will never get tired of feasting."
