In the 25th Century, an all-new sport has emerged. Football, baseball and even the WWF have become old and tired.

ECTS 2000: Now, fans can build their own combatants and pit them against other fans' creations in the frenetic atmosphere of the Rock 'em, Sock 'em combat arena.

Based on a new range of action figures (which will be launched by Mattel in 2001) Rock 'em, Sock 'em Arena from Mattel Interactive is a high-action arena fighting game… but with a twist. It's the only game that allows its players to fully customise their fighters to suit their individual playing styles. Throughout the game, players can change, trade, win, and collect different robotic body parts in order to create their own perfect warrior.

Based on a famous US toy line of the 1960s, and developed for PlayStation by Paradox Development, Rock 'em Sock 'em is a fast-paced combat game that enables players to hone their fighting skills, either by using one of eight battle-ready robots or by creating their own customised robot by combining various arms, legs and torsos.

Players can truly test their abilities in the two-player head-to-head combat arena, where parts and weapons are wagered a 'winner takes all' showdown. A ranking system takes players through various levels, pitting players against other challengers, plus four super skilled boss robots for the title.

Special features include:
· Exquisitely detailed 3D fighters based on Mattel's new Rock 'em Sock 'em toy line.

· Fully modular robot arms, legs and torsos, which can be combined to unleash a multitude of unique fighting styles and 'super combo' attacks.

· Powerful arena-style fighting engine.

· One-player career and two-player combat modes, plus an all-new 'Repo' mode allowing players to bid for parts in a 'winner takes all' showdown.

· Ranged attacks and projectiles make for awesome special effects displays.

· Fast-paced multi-hit combos send your opponents head flying out of the arena.

· Original Rock 'em Sock 'em robots Red Rocker and Blue Bomber follow the action play-by-play as commentators.

Rock 'em, Sock 'em will be released on PlayStation in the final quarter of 2000.
