Spell Ruler spreads its magic
October launch for Konami of Europe’s third Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game booster pack
Konami has announced it will release the third booster pack for its hugely successful Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in October. Entitled Spell Ruler, the series will bring over 100 new characters, spells and traps to Yu-Gi-Oh! fans.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game: Spell Ruler offers an all-new challenge and gameplay possibilities. The all-new cards feature new monsters, new traps, new magic spells and expand upon the enthralling gameplay of the existing packs. The new cards are fully compatible with the currently available packs and Starter Decks, and offer users additional adversaries and weapons to use in battles against rival players.
The Spell Ruler pack comprises 102 new cards, ranging from characters such as Penguin Knight, Maha Vailo and Guardian of the Throne Room, each of whom has specific offensive and defensive attributes. Likewise, players will also have access to a wider range of traps, moves and spells, with the Axe of Despair and Horn of Light used alongside Spellbinding Circles, and Snatch Steal and Rush Recklessly attacks.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game is an enthralling card-based game wherein users use special game cards bearing images of monsters and heroes in ‘battles’ against each other. Three main cards are used in play – Monster Cards, Magic Cards and Trap Cards – with players using the monster’s attacks and the effect of additional Magic and Trap cards to defeat the opponent.
Localised versions of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game: Spell Ruler range will be available across all Konami of Europe’s territories, and will be available via the usual retail channels.
