Ubi Soft Entertainment and Kemco are joining forces to publish Batman Of The Future: Return Of The Joker on Sony PlayStation, GAME BOY Color and Nintendo 64 in Europe, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia. The game is being developed by Kemco under licence to Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and will be released at the end of October 2000.

The animated film Batman Of The Future: Return Of The Joker, released by Warner Bros Home Video, will be available on videocassette in the US in October 2000 and in Europe in May 2001. The animated series is currently being shown over several networks on US and European television, including the Kids WB!, Cartoon Network, France3 and ITV. In Europe, the Batman licence has a 98% recognition rate among children aged 6 to 17.

This new title enables Ubi Soft to offer a full line of interactive entertainment based on Batman, including titles such as Batman: Gotham City Racer and Batman: Chaos in Gotham. The agreement also enhances the Ubi Soft group's offerings in the Action/Adventure category, which already include Rayman 2 The Great Escape, Evil Twin - Cyprien’s Chronicles and V.I.P.; the deal creates a whole new segment, that of pure action games. The licence's recognition rate and the release of the game on widespread formats will ensure that Ubi Soft reaches a large audience. This new and powerful licence will also strengthen Ubi Soft's brand portfolio.

The Batman Of The Future: Return Of The Joker video games offer 100% Ninja-style action that draws the player into the futuristic environment of Gotham City in the twenty-first century. The game's storyline is very close to that of the direct-to-video animated film: Batman finds himself battling against all kinds of creatures, which are using their evil powers to terrorize the city. The player must confront the evil villains as Batman would, testing his own abilities—as well as his new high-tech gadgets—to their utmost. This game has been designed specifically for four to eight years olds, with user-friendly gameplay so that kids can start in on the fun right away. The changing perspectives, graphic elements and gameplay all exploit the futuristic environment of the licence to the fullest. In addition, Batman Of The Future: Return Of The Joker offers several possibilities for moving on to higher levels, enticing players into coming back to the game again and again. This game is not to be missed!
