Future Music will be running a £500 competition within its magazine and Internet site, asking readers to participate in remixing the music from the forthcoming Havas Interactive game Homeworld: Cataclysm.
This title is the follow up to the hugely successful "Homeworld" released last year and the winner of many awards most notably for its music.
Havas Interactive have supplied Future Music with the main theme from Battle 1 and various samples from the game such as explosions, weapon fire and speech. Readers will be able to gain access to these materials either by the covermount CD on the September issue out 18th August or via the Future Music Internet site from the 28th July.
Once the winning track has been selected it will be duplicated into 3000 12 inch vinyl disks and will be targeted towards DJs, music venues and radio stations across the country.
This track will also be used on the Homeworld: Cataclysm demo to be released later this year.
