Death or Glory – Blitzkrieg tournament announced
Blitzkrieg online championship begins at the end of April.
CDV Software Entertainment AG and the e-sports company Turtle Entertainment are organising an online championship after the international release of the real time strategy game Blitzkrieg. The contest will begin at the end of April in the Electronic Sports League, Europe's largest online league, with a direct link available on the official Blitzkrieg website, so that enthusiastic strategy game players can participate directly in the championship. Further tournaments will follow in the UK, France and the USA to coordinate with the various countries' release dates for Blitzkrieg.
Up to 128 players can compete in each country's tournament, with the top two players from each territory going on to the Games Convention in Leipzig later this year, where they will compete against the finalists from the other countries. The overall winner of the Blitzkrieg tournament will be determined in an exciting head-to-head match. Experienced eSports presenters will back up the whole event with live commentary, which will also be broadcast live at the Convention. With €5,000 (about £3,400) to be won at the finals, all the participants will have plenty to play for - both money and national pride.
