THQ International Ltd, a division of THQ Inc. and JAKKS Pacific today confirmed that their World Wrestling Entertainment line-up for the rest of 2002 will include a range of World Wrestling Entertainment games in the UK for all the latest console systems. The companies will also relaunch their World Wrestling Entertainment games web portal.
World Wrestling Entertainment line up includes:
WWE WrestleMania X8:
No other event in the history of wrestling has seen more legendary match-ups and classic championship battles that have forever changed the face of wrestling. Now players will relive the legend surrounding WrestleMania and compete for championship glory as they choose from more than 35 Superstars in a host of venues and match types including death-defying TLC matches or legendary Hell in a Cell match-ups. WWE WrestleMania X8 is scheduled to ship October 2002 exclusively for Nintendo GameCube.
WWE Road to WrestleMania X8:
In World Wrestling Road to WrestleMania X8 on Nintendo Game Boy Advance, players can choose from 16 Superstars including Hollywood Hulk Hogan, Rob Van Dam and Booker T. As players compete through the World Wrestling Entertainment ranks they will be able to develop their Superstar’s abilities and change them according to each individual’s fighting style in their quest for the WWE Heavyweight Championship. The game is due November 2002.
WWE SmackDown! Shut Your Mouth:
The next instalment in the top-selling PlayStation 2 franchise is back later this year with an enhanced career mode featuring an all new draft feature, an updated roster, better than ever graphics, revamped control system, in-depth Create-A-Wrestler, and an expanded season mode. Exclusive to the PlayStation 2, WWE SmackDown! Shut Your Mouth will be available November 2002.
WWE Raw( Xbox and PC ):
WWE Raw is the first WWE action game on the PC and already a hit in the US on the Xbox. Prepare for WWE Raw when it makes its debut with all the bedlam that is World Wrestling Entertainment.
