Swedish game developer Digital Illusions (DICE) is currently working on bringing out the latest version of Microsoft's best selling Midtown Madness for the Xbox video game system. The original contract was announced in 2001, without disclosing the actual title.
Shortly after releasing the much acclaimed RalliSport Challenge for the Xbox videogame system, the next high profile development project for Microsoft is now announced. The racing game Midtown Madness is based on the well-known and best-selling Midtown Madness franchise.
"Midtown Madness 3 and the Xbox build upon the legacy of the Midtown Madness franchise by leveraging the powerful graphical and audio capabilities of the Xbox," explained Pete Parsons, director of marketing for Microsoft Game Studios. In developing Midtown Madness 3, Digital Illusions has allowed gamers to experience the rush and thrill of unrestrained racing through highly detailed and fully interactive urban environments."

The previous games has sold very well and we expect this to do equally good. Digital Illusions is currently working on nine parallel projects, of which three are for Microsoft.
