Ever wondered what it would be like to live in the future? Perhaps 700 years into the future? Now, thanks to CDV Software Entertainment and its brand new online game Neocron, you'll have the chance to create an alter ego and immerse yourself in a world of 28th century Neocron.

Over 62,000 people have already taken up this challenge by signing up for the beta version of Neocron, now online at www.neocron.com. Developed by Reakktor Media, Neocron is a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) set in a post-apocalyptic metropolis.

You will become a citizen of Neocron, choosing your avatar, or character, from one of four classes: Psi Monk, Tank, Private Eye or Spy. You can earn money, use your social skills, and simply explore the city, from the civilised heartland to the lawless Outzones … or you could decide to spice up your virtual life a bit as a Tank Warrior, or set yourself up as a merchant.

"The huge popularity of Neocron even as it goes into the beta test stage is a massive vote of confidence in the game," says Leo Zullo, Marketing Manager for CDV UK. "It's technologically light years ahead of anything else on the market, and we think this will give people their first real taste of life in a parallel universe."

Already, Neocron has developed its own worldwide community. With potentially over 60,000 players right from the start, you'll be playing with and against other Neocronites from all around the world as you forge alliances, wage feuds, etc. Even before the official launch of the game, there are over 40 fan sites, a similar number of clan sites, and player forums, so that players can chat to each other and keep abreast of the latest Neocron developments - and gossip.
