NVIDIA Corporation announced today that Dell Computer Corporation, the leading notebook provider as ranked by Gartner Dataquest, has selected the NVIDIA GeForce2 Go mobile graphics processing unit (GPU) for its new Latitude C810 and Inspiron 8100 business notebook PCs.

With the graphics processing prowess of the GeForce2 Go, and the power of the integrated Intel 1.13GHz Mobile Pentium III, 128MB SDRAM, a vibrant 15-inch LCD display, and multiple optical drives, these two new Dell notebooks offer business professionals and mobile aficionados a highly compelling, yet portable, PC experience.

Today’s announcement points to the growing enthusiasm that our GeForce2 Go family of mobile GPUs is receiving from industry-leading OEMs and end-users alike, stated Jeff Fisher, executive vice president of worldwide sales for NVIDIA. The inclusion of the GeForce2 Go in the Latitude C810 and Inspiron 8100 is a significant milestone because it is the first time the GeForce2 Go has been integrated into notebooks solely targeted to the business professional."

According to the most recent report from Gartner Dataquest, a leading market research firm, Dell was the leading supplier of all PCs for the first quarter of 2001, with its Latitude C and Inspiron series accounting for approximately 34% of all Dell notebooks sold worldwide. Both the Latitude C810 and Inspiron 8100 are available now at www.dell.com/latitude and www.dell.com/inspiron respectively.

Setting new standards for mobile 2D, 3D and multimedia graphics performance, the GeForce2 Go is the world’s first mobile graphics processor to support transform and lighting in hardware, delivering breakthrough 3D rendering power, up to ten times faster than typical notebook graphics. By combining NVIDIA’s superior graphic technologies with dynamic, industry-low power consumption, the GeForce2 Go has raised the graphics performance bar in notebooks to levels that were previously thought impossible. GeForce2 Go also provides a full feature set previously only available on desktop GPUs including: per-pixel shading, NVIDIA’s TwinView multi-display architecture, and Digital Vibrance Control for clean, bright, crisp visuals.
