THQ and Majesco today announced an agreement granting THQ International publishing and distribution rights for 10 titles from Majesco Inc.’s Game Boy Advance portfolio.

The 10 titles include Super Nintendo Entertainment System classics, Earthworm Jim and Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure, as well as the critically acclaimed Iridion 3D. In addition, THQ also obtained the rights to publish Fortress, Caesar’s Palace, Dark Arena, M & M’s Fun Blast, Aerial Aces, F-14 Tomcat, as well as a new title to be announced. All of the games are scheduled for release through 2001.

Territories covered by the agreement are comprised of the European and Export markets governed by all four of THQ International’s territorial offices, including UK/Export, France, Germany and Asia-Pacific.

Tim Walsh, Senior Vice President of International Publishing, THQ, commented, “The addition of these great games from Majesco expands our Game Boy Advance portfolio to more than 25 titles for 2001. Handheld gaming is one of the most exciting areas of growth in the industry and we intend to extend our leading position on Game Boy Color to the hot, new Game Boy Advance.”

“Our strategic partnership with THQ underscores our continued growth and expansion as a publisher,” said Jesse Sutton, President of Majesco, Inc. “The universal appeal of these titles will certainly reinforce THQ’s already formidable line-up while providing us with critical exposure in the European and Asian marketplace.”
