Foreman, a former two-time world heavyweight champion, and Jones, Jr., the undisputed light-heavyweight champion of the world, will appear in the game, on packaging, and in advertising and promotional materials.

"We have a winning one-two combination in George Foreman and Roy Jones, Jr.," stated Michael Jerchower, director of licensing for Acclaim Sports. "There is no boxer on the planet that is more colorful and beloved than George Foreman, and Roy Jones, Jr. is in a class of his own. Our marketing campaign will fully tap their star power to make sure boxing fans are fully aware of this blockbuster title."

"I've been a video game player my whole life and I am excited to join the Acclaim Sports team," said Jones, Jr.

HBO Boxing's stable of fighters will be headlined by Foreman, who currently serves as a boxing commentator for HBO Sports, and Jones Jr., a fellow HBO Sports commentator who is widely regarded as "pound for pound" the best fighter in the world. Over 30 boxers, including former legends, current champions and future stars will round out the game's roster. Acclaim Sports will release a list of the game's other featured boxers before the industry's largest trade show, Electronic Entertainment Exposition (E3), May 11-13.

HBO Boxing will incorporate the distinct look and feel of HBO Sports boxing telecasts, featuring authentic HBO Sports graphics and theme music, along with real-life boxing venues.
