Divine Divinity, the new role-playing game from CDV Software Entertainment, takes the player on a fantastic quest in a land torn apart by corruption and dark magic. Using any means possible, fair or foul, you must restore the essential balance of this fantasy universe.

In Divine Divinity, you can take on the role of one of six player characters, and throughout the game, you will exert a unique influence over the way your quest is played out. There are three ways in which you can approach the challenges thrown up by the game: the way of the warrior, the way of the wizard and the way of the survivor. As these names imply, the way that you choose will determine whether you play Divine Divinity with the emphasis on action and combat, or by acquiring magical and mystic powers, or by stealth and pragmatism.

Throughout your journeys your character will develop in skills and experience. This will equip you well for the variety of people and fantastical beings you will encounter - over 150 non-playing characters and over 100 types of monsters and creatures in the dynamic environment. There is also a virtually unlimited amount of special equipment with which you can boost your character - or you can charm items to make them even more special.

Although the Divine Divinity world is vast, it's easy to get around - the game's auto-mapping and automatic diary features make it easy to keep track or where you are, where you've been and what you've done - so that you can concentrate on the absorbing storyline and the tasks in hand.

GAME FEATURES:
Densely populated and varied world - over 20,000 screens, from peaceful small villages to demon infested wastelands.
Six different player characters that change their appearances depending on what they’re wearing.
About a hundred diverse magical abilities to be acquired.
Two auto-maps, showing immediate surroundings and world overview for journey planning.
Automatic diary keeps track of progress, also background information on creatures and NPCs.
Tons of objects that can be investigated, traded, used and combined.
Large involving storyline containing plenty of sub-quests in which the player can further advance his character.
Large soundtrack that adapts to the in-game circumstances.

Combining classic role-playing gameplay techniques with a host of new features, Divine Divinity is designed to appeal to both seasoned RPG connoisseurs and newcomers to the genre.

Divine Divinity, developed by Larian Studios, will be published by CDV Software Entertainment in Autumn 2001 for PC CD-ROM. For more information on the game, visit the web site at http://www.divinedivinity.com.
