CDV Software Entertainment, one of Europe's fastest-growing PC games publishers, will publish the spine-tingling and engrossing adventure game Mystery Of The Druids.

Developed by the House Of Tales, this classic point-and-click adventure begins, unusually for games of this type, in modern day England, with clearly identifiable English characters. The player takes on the role of an inexperienced Scotland Yard detective by the name of Brent Halligan. He has been assigned to solve a series of grisly murders that are linked to an enigmatic sect of Druids. As Brent Halligan gets tangled further into the case, he discovers that the murders are human sacrifices, performed by the dark Druids in order to summon incredible powers.

The seeds of the story are sown in the year 1000 AD, when the Druids were facing extinction. To make sure their secret powers survived, the Druids decided to transfer their powers and magic on to five babies in a cruel and dark ritual at the circle of Stonehenge. Some of the Druids couldn’t go through with the proceedings and discreetly sabotaged the ceremony. The ritual is now incomplete, and the story begins to unfold.

Accompanied by Dr Melanie Turner, Brent Halligan delves deeper into the long-forgotten secrets of ancient Druidic rituals picking up clues from the crime scenes of Epping Forest to Stonehenge, what he learns from the past may be his only chance of saving World in the present. But will he have enough time?

The story of Mystery Of The Druids is riddled with complex but logical puzzles to keep the point-and-click faithful on the edge of their seats. This, combined with a variety of hi-res 2D and 3D models and images, lip synchronised dubbing, and over 360 different scenes, is a ‘must have’ for any true adventure fan.
