3DO Europe today announced the release of High Heat Major League Baseball 2002 for Game Boy Advance as 20th July 2001. Sporting the Official Major League Baseball and Major League Baseball Players Association licences, High Heat Major League Baseball 2002 will be the first baseball game to launch on the Game Boy Advance.
The passionate development team of diehard baseball fans, created by The 3DO Company’s CEO, Trip Hawkins, has established the High Heat Major League Baseball franchise as providing far and away the most realistic baseball experience. The Game Boy Advance version is the newest All Star in the line-up.
Whether players prefer to play a single game, an entire season with playoffs, or just want to whack the ball out of the park in the Homerun Derby, High Heat Major League Baseball 2002 has got it! High Heat Major League Baseball 2002 includes all 30 Major League Baseball teams, complete with the actual updated 2001 player rosters, unique ballparks for every team and even nine different kinds of pitches.
Budding baseball stars can try the batting practice option to get comfortable before moving on to an exhibition game or a new season. Another great feature is the auto-fielding option for easy playing. High Heat Major League Baseball 2002 includes five different modes of play including Batting Practice, Exhibition, Season, Playoffs and Home Run Derby. All these High Heat features are guaranteed to make High Heat Major League Baseball 2002 the latest All Star in the series.
Speaking of All Stars, All Star Vladimir Guerrero of the Montreal Expos and his brother, Wilton, of the Cincinnati Reds, true fans of the High Heat series, are endorsing this year’s editions. Interestingly, 3DO discovered last year that the Guerrero brothers were actually using High Heat (for PlayStation) not only for fun, but also as a training tool to scout opposing Major League Baseball pitchers!
High Heat Major League Baseball 2002 will be published by 3DO Europe for Game Boy Advance on 20th July 2001, priced £34.99.
