Codemasters have decided to work with super-budget specialists Sold Out to ensure The Realm reaches as many consumers as possible!

The Realm is unique in that 50 per cent of subscribers to this online game so far are female gamers, whereas most games target a strongly male audience. An ever-evolving online world of monsters, magic and medieval society is available to the player.

Explore The Realm's real time Internet adventure and converse with thousands of real players from across the world. Play as a giant warrior, an elf wizard or a human adventurer, and fully customise your own unique identity from more than six million character combinations.

Sold Out's M.D. Garry Williams commented, "Sold Out's superb range of top titles has ensured not only maximum penetration of hard core games players, but access to mainstream outlets such as key accounts and supermarkets, to date the female games player may have balked at some of the titles on offer."

Sold Out would normally specialise in the simulation, driving, shoot 'em up, beat 'em up areas of the market. The Realm gives us the chance to extend our reach to the ever growing online community!

The female user is more drawn by the common goals for the players to attain, but there is also an in-game chat and email feature. Making it a social game with emphasise on teamwork and community.

Williams commented, "This is more a co-operative game than the normal hack and slash product on offer. The attraction is there for the male games player as playing this, we meet many more ladies rather than the lonely anoraks!"
