Revolution Software is offering its fans the opportunity to get involved with the development of Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon, with the launch of “The Revolution”, an e-mail-based newsletter which will keep fans updated with progress on the game.
Most excitingly, registered users of The Revolution will be invited to apply to special in-development focus groups, which will offer fans the unique opportunity to shape the direction of the third title in the Broken Sword series.
Located at www.revolution.co.uk, the service will also carry exclusive news and interviews, as well as alerting gamers when new assets become available.
“We are taking an ambitious step in moving the adventure genre forward.” says Charles Cecil, managing director of Revolution. “Our fans rank among the most loyal in the industry and this will ensure that we can balance the game so that it appeals to the fans of the earlier games while reaching out to an even wider audience. Though the service itself well be infrequent to begin with, we’ll ensure the information it contains is extremely valuable.”
Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon is due for release on Xbox, PlayStation 2 and PC in 2002. The first screenshots will be available during May 2001.
