THQ Inc. and JAKKS Pacific, Inc. today announced that the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS) has named WWF No Mercy as a finalist in the Fourth Annual Interactive Achievement Awards. The AIAS honors excellence and innovation in interactive computer, console, and internet games and entertainment.
This highly successful World Wrestling Federation title for the Nintendo 64 is a finalist in three separate categories: Console Fighting Game of the Year, Console Game of the Year, and Game of the Year 2001. Released in November of 2000, WWF No Mercy has already sold well over 800,000 units at retail in North America.
