Switch in real-time between four playable characters

: Sony Computer Entertainment Europe [SCEE] is pleased to confirm the return of Genkuro Yoshitsune in Genji™: Days of the Blade developed exclusively for PLAYSTATION®3 by Game Republic.

Set three years after the last chapter of Genkuro Yoshitsune’s life, Genji: Days of the Blade continues the story of Japanese legend, Samurai warrior and folkhero Yoshitsune, the man destined to flee to Mongolia and become Genghis Kahn.

Set against an accurate historical backdrop, and drawing on both Japanese history and legend, Genji: Days of the Blade captures real events including Yoshitsune’s success in driving the enemy back to their boats at Ichinotani and the great naval battle of Dannoura in 1185, which passed into Japanese artwork and legend as the souls of the dying Samurai inhabited the island’s crabs.

Featuring more than double the amount of gameplay, more diverse levels of fighting and more playable characters – Genji: Days of the Blade promises to deliver a stunning next generation experience on the PLAYSTATION 3.

A game for the serious gamer packed with beautiful next generation visuals and sword slashing game-play, Genji: Days of the Blade is a lavishly produced and historically authentic combat epic that uses the incredible graphic capabilities of PLAYSTATION 3 to take you back in time and put you in the centre of the action.

Additional Characters: Swap between four playable characters, each with different fighting styles:

Genkuro Yoshitsune: the hero who fights with twin swords with his trademark agility and aptitude for aerial fighting

Musashibou Benkei: the mighty warrior monk and trusted Vassal of Yoshitsune who has become even more powerful over the years since Genji™. He fights with his cudgel, a man of power able to destroy enemies and objects alike
