Three Kingdoms: Fate of the Dragon is a real time strategy game based on the historical novel entitled The Three Kingdoms written in the fourteenth century by Luo Guanzhong. The Three Kingdoms depicts one of the most famous and turbulent periods in Chinese history. People all over Asia know this period and the adventures that took place as the story has been passed down through the generations via books, plays, puppetry, and storytellers. Now, Eidos Interactive brings The Three Kingdoms to a worldwide audience with the release of Three Kingdoms: Fate of the Dragon on the PC.
The Game: At the end of the second century the Han dynasty which had been in decline for many years collapsed. Three warlords, Cao Cao, Liu Bei and Sun Quan, rose out of the confusion to take control of separate regions of China. You assume control of one of the three kingdoms through one of the Warlords and with the assistance of your many counsellors and generals you must expand your territory and reunite the country.
To reach your goal you must successfully manage a combination of resources including construction, production, trade, tax collection, science, soldiers, diplomacy, and so on. To defeat your opponents on the battlefield you must employ different tactics in deploying your troops combined with your commander's stratagem of ambush, fire, wizardry and weaponry.
Three Kingdoms: Fate of the Dragon reflects the culture that existed in China during the Three Kingdoms period. The events, weaponry, technology and social development in the game is taken from the actual historical period. Three Kingdoms: Fate of the Dragon takes you back to ancient Chinese history to relive the turbulent events of the time.
