Take 2 Interactive has extended its Oni range with a superb mobile phone mini-game, playable by any WAP-enabled mobile phone user.

The game, designed by WAP specialist Quantum Sheep, is set prior to the events in the PC and PlayStation 2 title, and sees the stylish Konoko - heroine of the full title - competing against an original training simulator. Remaining faithful to the style of its big-budget predecessor, the Oni WAP game features superb manga animation, and has been designed not just to introduce players to the characters within the game, but also to test reactions to the limit.

Players can access the game at http://wap.oni-game.com

"Despite the limitations of the mobile format, Quantum Sheep has done a fantastic job of creating a game which is not only easy to pick up and play, it doesn't require players to be connected to their service providers for an age, "says Rachel England, Head of Online International Marketing, Take 2. "However, Take 2's commitment to mobile phone users doesn't end here - we've yet another superb and unique service launching to coincide with the PlayStation 2 release."

Oni has just been released for PC, and is due out on PlayStation 2 on March 9th, 2001.
